Sacramento, CA

Sacramento is the state capitol of California, the sixth largest economy in the world. While statewide issues often overshadow local issues, Sacramento is fortunate to have a robust history of community leadership, activism and advocacy. Still, high rents coupled with low wages make it hard for many to live in the region – 24 percent of jobs are low-wage, paying $1,250 or less, but only 18 percent of rental units are affordable.

In California's capital city, we are partnering with the Healthy Sacramento Coalition to implement equitable land use and zoning policies that address longstanding inequities by race and place.
